Gerald Berthot

Gerald Joseph Berthot, 72, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center on Sunday, April 25, 2021.
Gerald was born March 14, 1949 to Harry Thomas and Agnes (Gaughan) Berthot in Chanute, Kansas.
Gerald attended Chanute High School graduating in 1968. He proudly served in The United States Army as a Vietnam veteran from 1969 – 1971.
Gerald was united in marriage to Linda Smith on September 6, 1969 in Iola, Kansas.
Gerald is survived by his wife of the home, three brothers Francis, Ralph, and Bill, two sisters Rose Berthot and Patricia Johnston, two grandchildren Kimberly and Chase Berthot, and one great grandchild Chloe.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, son Christopher, daughter Onja, and brother Richard.
Memorials are suggested to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society or The Ronald McDonald House and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
A memorial graveside will be held at a later date.
