George Edward North

George Edward North, 67, a resident of Altoona, Kansas, died Friday, January 18, 2013. He was born June 23, 1945 in Fredonia, Kansas to Francis Theaboy and Bonnie Jean (Young) North. On May 6, 1967, he was united in marriage to Marilyn June Szczerbacki. She survives at their home. George was self-employed and his hobbies included fishing and hunting. His survivors, in addition to his wife, Marilyn, include: One daughter: Beverly Ann Busby of Mulberry, Kansas Two sons: Wayne Edward North of Galesburg, Kansas David Jay North of Afghanistan Three sisters: Mary Ann Robinson of Tulsa, OK Hazel Victoria Sears of Derby, KS Helen Diane Pope of Cherokee, KS Three brothers: Francis Leroy North of Fredonia, KS Estel Eugene North of Fredonia, KS Kenneth Wayne North of Lincoln, NE Four grandchildren Three sisters, Mabel North, Margaret Irene Farmer and Bonnie Marie Cox, preceded him in death. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia.
