Gary W. Conley

Gary W. Conley, 68, a resident of rural Fredonia, Kansas, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was born November 18, 1941 in Fredonia, the son of Albert Joseph and Mary (Kingsbury) Conley. Gary was graduated from Neodesha High School in 1959 and from the Wichita Barber College. He worked as a barber for 42 years in Kansas City and Fredonia. He was an active member of his church in Kansas City and had been a deacon and Sunday school superintendent of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia. On January 1, 1960, he married Linda Mae Hemme. She survives at their home. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Linda, include: His mother: Mary Conley of Fredonia, KS Three sons: Timothy Conley of Fredonia, KS Peter Conley of Fredonia, KS Bryan Conley of Fredonia, KS One brother: Marion Conley of Overland Park, KS Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremiah Baird officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Wednesday, 4:30 P.M.-6:30 P.M. with the family receiving friends. A memorial has been established in Gary"s name with the Bible Baptist Church and contributions can be sent to the funeral home.
