Frankie H. Winkleman

Frank H. Winkleman, 66, of Cherryvale passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th Street with Pastor Eric Lang of the Cherryvale Christian Church, officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 12Noon until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Wickham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. Interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale, Kansas.Memorial remembrances are suggested to Mercy Hospice and they may be mailed or left at the funeral home.Frankie Homer Winkleman was born April 8, 1946 the son of Harold and Letha I. (Gates) Winkleman. He grew up in Cherryvale and attended schools in Cherryvale and Labette County High School. Frank worked for the City of Cherryvale in the Public Works department for many years and later retired in 2010 from the Labette County Road and Bridge department working as an equipment operator.On September 25, 1965 in Cherryvale, Kansas he was united in marriage to Jeanne Lynn Ketcham and she survives at the home.Frank loved working his cattle, four wheeling, and playing with his great nieces and nephew. He will be remembered for being a great uncle and a wonderful man.Survivors include wife Jeanne of the home, three brothers, Jerome Winkleman of Shelly, Idaho, John Winkleman of Buhl, Idaho, Steve Winkleman of Cherryvale, Kansas and one sister, Diana Woldum of Cherryvale, Kansas.
