Frankie Calvin Reynolds, 65, resident at Toronto Lake, Kansas, died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Via Christi St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita following complications from heart surgery. He was born May 7, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Calvin and Odessa (Aubrey) Reynolds. He was raised in Blackwell, Oklahoma and resided in Medicine Lodge, Kansas for more than 20 years. Frank worked many years as a driller in the oil fields. On September 3, 1968 in Medicine Lodge, he married Jody Wells and she survives at their home on Toronto Lake, where they have lived for the past 22 years. Frank and Jody own and operate the Hilltop Grocery, Bait and Cafe on the lake. Frank was raised in the Baptist Church and was active with Ducks Unlimited and the Fredonia V.F.W. In addition to his wife, Jody, Frank is survived by: His mother, Odessa Dougherty of Garden City, Kansas One step-daughter, Eva Shaddox of Wichita, Kansas One daughter, Ellie Reynolds of Eureka, Kansas One son, Shane Reynolds of Toronto, Kansas One sister, Johnanna Borden of Garden City, Kansas Two brothers, Johnny Sittingdown of Alva, Oklahoma and Tommy Reynolds of Berea, Kentucky Two step-sisters, Pat Watts and Peggy Hall, both of Littcarr, Kentucky Six grandchildren, Shaena Shaddox of Emporia, Kansas; Micha Granger of Eureka, Kansas; Brandi Shaddox of Kingman, Kansas; Storm Reynolds of Eureka, Kansas; Alysen Ethridge of Eureka, Kansas; and Walter Reynolds of Toronto, Kansas One great grandchild, Audrey Ziegler of Kingman, Kansas His father, Calvin Reynolds, preceded him in death. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Hilltop Grocery on Toronto Lake with Pastor Jon Petty officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made in Frank"s name with the Fredonia V.F.W. and these memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
