Frank John Ostrosky Jr, 49, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, currently residing in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at his home. He was born December 4, 1960 in Fredonia, the son of Frank John and Betty (Groshong) Ostrosky Sr. John was a 1978 graduate of Fredonia High School and received additional education in trade school. On February 4, 1978 in Fredonia, he was joined in marriage to Cindy Ferguson. She survives at their home in Bartlesville. Jock, as he was known to relatives and friends, was a talented mechanic who spent countless hours working on vehicles, boats, 4-wheelers and anything else that needed tinkering. He was currently employed at Cessna Aircraft in Independence and previously had been employed at Cobalt Boats in Neodesha and at Gran Villas in Fredonia, where he was in charge of maintenance. He also was involved for several years with his brothers in the Total Automotive vehicle repair shop. In his free time, Jock loved to work on racecars, drag boats and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. In addition to his wife Cindy, he is survived by: Three sons: Izzy Ferguson and wife Dege of Broken Arrow, OK Dusty Ostrosky and wife Tanya of Fredonia, KS Josh Ostrosky and companion Kayla Marsh of Bartlesville, OK One daughter: Amanda Ostrosky of Bartlesville, OK Two brothers: Jerry Kukovich and wife Debbie of Fredonia, KS Terry Kukovich and wife Sandy of Fredonia, KS Six grandchildren: Canaan Ferguson, Alexys Ferguson, Isaac Ostrosky, Jenna Ostrosky, Logan Ostrosky and Bailey Ostrosky. His parents, Frank and Betty Ostrosky and his sister, Mary Ann Joy, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Cornerstone Christian Church with Mike Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation at Timmons Funeral Home will be Monday, October 4, 2010, 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., where the family will receive friends 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in John"s name with the Cornerstone Christian Church and contributions may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
