Faith Carinder

Faith Carinder, 97, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Nora Faith Henry was born December 11, 1923 in Monroe City, Indiana the daughter of Lawrence T. Henry and Alta L. (Edwards) Henry. She graduated from North Vernon, Indiana High School in 1941.
On June 27, 1954 at the Cherryvale United Methodist Church in Cherryvale she was united in marriage to William “Bill” J. Carinder and he preceded her in death August 28, 2010.
Faith was a homemaker and in her earlier years she worked in the office at Reliance Garment Factory in Cherryvale. She also worked in the family business at Zip Trip and the hatchery also in Cherryvale.
She enjoyed collecting clippings of family and friends for her scrapbooks. She was a Sunday School teacher, 4-H Leader, member of the Cherryvale Methodist Church, PEO Sisterhood, Wednesday Progress Club, Cherry Chums and Happy Hustlers 4-H Club.
Survivors include her children, William “Bill” H. Carinder (Kate), of Coronado, California, Janie Houston (Kent) of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mark Carinder (Sandy) of Cherryvale, Kansas, grandchildren, Brent Carinder (Katie), Aubrie Ferguson (Steve), Jordan Carinder, Seth Carinder, great grandchildren, Knox Ferguson, Benny Ferguson, Smith Ferguson, and Billy Carinder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Betty L. White.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., Friday, January 1, 2020 at Wickham family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Cherryvale United Methodist Church.
Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Cherryvale united Methodist Church and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
