Eugene E. Trefethen

Eugene Everett Trefethen, 72 of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home with family by his side. He was born October 11, 1948 in Wichita, Kansas to Evert and Bessie (Bosley) Trefethen. Eugene attended and graduated from Yates Center High School in 1966.
Eugene worked for Amazon for 12 years from 1999- 2011 and at Gene’s Tire and Auto.
Eugene enjoyed fishing, watching football and spending time with his children and grandchildren, who he loved more than anything else. He will be remembered for his wit and orneriness and helping people whenever they needed it!
Eugene is survived by his children; April Stoddard, Cherryvale, Kansas, Sarah Sullivan, Cherryvale, Kansas, Shane Trefethen, Cherryvale, Denis Trefethen, Burden, Kansas, sister; Diana Tryon, Cherryvale, Kansas, brother; Larry (Carolyn) Trefethen, Wichita, Kansas, 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews!
He was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife, Terri White and his ex-wife’s husband, Henry White.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale
