Ethel M. Gueulette

Ethel M. Gueulette, 95, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Medicalodges Nursing Home in Independence, Kansas.
Ethel Maude Gueulette was born February 27, 1926, in Thayer, Kansas the daughter of Ora Lee Douglas and Flossie Gladys Henderson Douglas.
On March 6, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Gueulette, and he preceded her in death in 1981.
She worked for the Airosol Company in Neodesha and in the Deli at Bacani’s. Her favorite job was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
Ethel enjoyed many hobbies including, reading, singing, word search and she loved to crochet.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia, Royal Neighbors and Fredonia VFW.
Survivors include her children, Linda S. Parrett of Independence, Kansas, Lillia M. Gueulette of Irving, Texas, Lyla G. Morris of Iola, Kansas, Benny W. Gueulette of Springfield, Missouri, sister, Darlene Slinghurst of Neodesha, Kansas, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Loretta Bargeman, sister, Nellie O’Sullivan, brother, Virgil Douglas, 2 granddaughters, Barbara and Rebecca and great grandson, Gregory.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
Celebration of Ethel’s Life will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 14, 2022, at the funeral home.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Avenue of Flags or Bible Baptist Church, and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
