Elva Mae Boicourt

September 25, 1936 — May 27, 2021

Elva Mae (Cline) Boicourt went to be with our Lord on May 27th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 25, 1936 in Buxton, Kansas, to Lewis and Florence (Crawford) Cline. She was raised with her two brothers, Wayne and Larry in the Lafontaine and Buxton area, she graduated from Fredonia High School in 1954.

She married the love of her life, Bill Boicourt on February 25th, 1956. They spent 62 wonderful years together before Bill’s death in2018. They raised 4 children, Sandy Smith (Randy), Michel Moser (Brad), Greg Boicourt (Nancy) and Patty Morrison (Jeff). She was a loving and proud grandma to 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Elva Mae didn’t know a stranger. She got to know you and always made you feel important.

Elva Mae was also known as Ms. Mae. For years she taught nursey school. This was a deep love for her and a calling to help 3- and 4-year-olds prepare for kindergarten. She also worked at Montgomery Ward and Sears catalogue stores.

Elva Mae and Bill loved to square dance, have friends over to play cards or just visit. Bill was the foundation, but Elva Mae was the glue that held her family together.

Elva Mae was passionate about her faith and her family. They were her world.

Elva Mae was preceded in death by her husband Bill, parents Florence and Lewis and brother Wayne.

Put on a smile and be happy, life is too short.
