Ella Ridlon

Ella M. Ridlon, 80, a resident of rural Fredonia, Kansas, died Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at her home. She was born September 7, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Wesley and Laura (Schanzenbach) Wickiser. She was retired registered nurse, working more than 36 years in various hospitals. On November 8, 1967 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, she married Dr. Albert Maurice Ridlon. He preceded her in death October 6, 1996. She was a member of Eastern Star and the Kansas Nursing Association and attended the First Christian Church in Fredonia. Her Survivors include Two step sons, Bill Ridlon of Elizabethtown, KY; Evan Ridlon of Mt. Holly, NC; Two brothers, Robert Wickiser of Greenville; SC, Bill Wickiserof Ashland, OH; 7 step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brodbeck of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, north of Fredonia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, 3:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Shriner"s Childrens Hospital and may be sent to the funeral home.
