Donald Richard Olenhouse

Donald Richard Olenhouse, 81, a lifetime resident of Wilson County, Kansas, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born October 19, 1924 in rural Wilson County, the son of Fred C. and Martha M. (Davis) Olenhouse. He was a 1941 graduate of Fredonia High School. He served in the United States Navy as a Motor Machinist"s Mate Third Class 1944-1946. He was a farmer and stockman for more than 60 years. He was active with the Republican Central Committee, serving as chairman for the county and for Talleyrand Township. His survivors include: One son, Daniel Olenhouse of Seneca, KS; One daughter, Dana Joy of Kingman, AZ; Five grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, at the Calvary Wesleyan Church in Fredonia with Lindsey Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Koger/Cheatham Cemetery, south of Fredonia. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. , where the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in his name with the Avenue of Flags and may be sent to the funeral home.
