David O. Seemann

David O. Seemann, 88, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, at Advena Living of Cherryvale.

David Ottis Seemann was born July 31, 1934, in Ulysses, Kansas the son of Theodore Seemann and Rachael (Blakesley) Seemann. He graduated from Hugoton High School in 1952.

He worked in construction most of his life. He was a construction superintendent for many years with McBride & Dehmer in Hugoton, Kansas. He later worked as a Road Grader Operator for Hodgeman County, Kansas.

David enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Survivors include his children, David Seemann Jr., Rick Seemann, Nathan Seemann, Michael Seemann, Penny Rabe, Raymond Seemann, Ron Seemann, Misty Garrett and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Rita Seemann, brothers, Alva Lee Seemann, Theodore Seemann and sisters, Betty Boyle, Ruth McQuitty, and Avis Gilbert.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale with family services held at a later date.
