Daisy M. Vaughn

Daisy M. Vaughn, 80 of Altoona, Kansas, passed away, Monday September 5, 2022, at Medicalodges in Independence, Kansas.

Daisy Maud Vaughn was born on December 21, 1941, in Artemas, Pennsylvania, to Marshall and Mary (Boor) Diehl. She graduated from Everett, Pennsylvania High School in 1959.

She was united in marriage to Milton Vaughn on October 29, 1995, at Palisade, Minnesota, he preceded her in death on March 15, 2016.

Daisy worked as a cashier at Harper Country Store in Altoona and Casey’s in Neodesha. She will be remembered for her sewing skills, and beautiful flowers, especially African violets, and cacti.

Daisy is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Baird of Altoona, Kansas, sister, Jo Ann Gordon of Cripple Creek, Colorado, four Grandchildren and nine Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 12, 2022, at the Altoona Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 P.M., Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Altoona Fire Department and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
