Cynthia Sue Morehead

Cynthia S. Morehead, 64, of Chanute, KS, passed away at her home December 24, 2019, surrounded by family.
She was born to Eldon Ray Springer and Alice Marie Fulkerson Springer on August 15, 1955, in Parsons, Kansas.
She graduated from Erie High School in 1973.
Cynthia was united in marriage to Tom Morehead on August 14, 2010, in Chanute, Kansas.
She was happiest when she was hosting gatherings for her family and friends. She loved being surrounded by those who were near to her.
She is survived by her children Jodi (Joel) Varndell of Chanute, Kansas, Allen Marshall of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, step-son Randy (Sondra) Morehead of Cherryvale, Kansas, step-daughter Debbie McCormick of Savonburg, Kansas, siblings Donna (Frank) Graham of Wichita, Kansas, and Earnie Springer of Wichita, Kansas, grandchildren Zack, Lexi, Janessa, Garrett, Kimberly, Grace, Mindy, Angela, Mike, Cindy, and Thomas, and nine great grandchildren.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her husband Tom Edwards, Parents Eldon and Marie Springer, brother Richard Springer, and sister Vicki Trembly.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 909 W. 14th St. Chanute, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, Chanute.
Memorial Remembrances are suggested to the American Cancer Society and can be left with or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home 821 W. Main St. Chanute, Kansas.
