Conard Eugene "Bud" Riley, 81, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died on Monday, November 12, 2012, at Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born December 23, 1930 in Fredonia, the son of Earl E. and Beulah (Lincoln) Riley. Bud was a graduate of Fredonia High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed by General Portland Cement/Lafarge Corporation for 42 years. On October 25, 1973 in Chanute, Kansas, Bud was united in marriage to Jovannah Sue (Morgan) Kraft. She survives at their home in Fredonia. Bud was a self-taught mechanic and restored many antique bikes. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Sue, include: Sons: Michael Kraft of Fredonia, KS David Eugene Kraft of Severy, KS Daughters: Diannah Marie Kelley of Chanute, KS Deborah Kaye Sommer of Altoona, KS Sister: Virginia Wheaton of Fredonia, KS Brother: Richard Riley of Bartlesville, OK Eight Grandchildren; Eleven Great Grandchildren; numerous Great-Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Beulah Riley; brothers, Earl Lloyd Riley and Ernest Riley; and sister, Patsy Morris. The family has requested cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Words of condolence for the family may be left on this website.
