Clarence "Eddie" E. Walker

Clarence E. “Eddie” Walker, 73, of Benedict, Kansas passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, in Iola, Kansas.
Clarence Edward Walker was born May 2, 1948, in Fredonia, Kansas the son of Carl Walker and Grace (Allman) Walker. He grew up in Fredonia and Benedict area and attended Fredonia Schools.
Eddie worked as a self-employed carpenter and retired after many years of working. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He also enjoyed wood working and making crafts.
He was elected and served as Mayor for the City of Benedict.
Survivors include his wife Sheila Walker of Yates Center, Kansas, sons, Johnny (Charla) Walker of Benedict, Kansas, Gale (Teresa) Walker of Buffalo, Kansas, siblings, John Walker of Fredonia, Kansas, Shirley Thornton of Fredonia, Kansas, Beverly Joy of Benedict, Kansas, Danny Walker of Thayer, Kansas, 3 grandchildren, Matt Walker, Robert Walker, Abbie Walker, 5 great grandchildren, Maverek, Ryker, Arianna, Zane and Phenix.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Robert Deon Walker, siblings. Robert Walker, Martha Allison, Carl Walker, Marvin Walker, Charlie Walker, Mary Lou Shinkle, Lois Taylor, Sharon Walker, and Karen Walker.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Yates Center Nursing and Rehab activity fund, and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
