Chuck Dean Wells

Chuck Dean Wells, 66, a resident of rural Fredonia, formerly of California, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at the Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born February 27, 1940 in Fredonia, the son of Chester and Ruth V. (Rogers) Wells. He was a mechanic for Penske Trucking for 20 years, retiring in 2006. On July 23, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada, he married Rachel Nuckles. She survives at their home. He was a member of Lions International and the Eagles. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Rachel, include his mother, Ruth V. Darling of Salina, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Wells in 1952. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Rev. Shirley Harkness officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., where the family will receive friends 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in his name with the Salvation Army and the Fredonia Regional Health Care Foundation and may be sent to the funeral home.
