Charley Graceson Mitchell

Charley Graceson Mitchell, 90, of rural Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.
Charley Graceson Mitchell was born November 25, 1931 in Edna, Kansas the son of Charley A. Mitchell and Lillie Mae (Dobbins) Mitchell. He graduated from Labette County High School in Altamont, Kansas.
On August 8, 1952 in Sarcoxie, Missouri he was united in marriage to Betty Imogene Broadaway and she survives at the home.
Graceson and Imogene were foster parents for 14 children and grandparents to numerous of their children.
Graceson worked for Atmos Energy and retired after 31 years of employment.
He enjoyed reading, fishing, hunting and driving.
Survivors include his wife Imogene of the home, son, Stephen Charles (Deanna) Mitchell of Cherryvale, Kansas, grandchildren, Joshua (Zurisadai) Mitchell of Cherryvale, Kansas, Jena (David) Ingram of Miami, Oklahoma, great grandchildren, Aarik Ingram, Myka Ingram, Esther and Elizabeth Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Mitchell.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Independence First Church of the Nazarene in Independence, Kansas.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to Independence First Church of the Nazarene Local Compassionate Ministries.
