Cecil R. Miller, 85, a resident of Fredonia and formerly of Buffalo, died Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Beverly Health & Rehab in Fredonia. He was born May 28, 1920 in Buffalo, the son of Ed N. and Lillie M. (Robinson) Miller. He worked at the Fredonia Cement Plant prior to the family moving to Wyoming, where he worked at the Coal Power Plant and the Uranium Mine at Shirley Basin, Wyoming. Cecil was married to Mary Ismay and they later divorced. On August 21, 1954, he married Maxine Eagle. She survives at their home. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Maxine, include: One Daughter, Shirley Ogier of Los Angeles, CA; One Son, Nick Miller of Fredonia, KS; Two Sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Ft. Collins, CO and Gloria Bogle of Yates Center, KS; 7 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Houston N. Miller; one daughter, Junita Peck; two sisters, Flossie Reed and Millie Johnson; three brothers, Roy, Eddie and Neal Miller; two grandchildren, Kimberly R. Miller and Michael Miller. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, December 23, 2005, at the Buffalo Cemetery with Rev. Max Dawson of the Bible Baptist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in his name with the Buffalo Senior Citizens and the Bible Baptist Church and may be sent to the funeral home.
