Catherine Seiwert, 92, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away at 4:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Eureka Nursing Center, Eureka, Kansas.Catherine Seiwert was born November 18, 1924 in rural Colwich, Kansas the daughter of Leo Mannebach and Barbara (Scheer) Mannebach. She grew up in Colwich and attended Colwich Schools.On May 1, 1946 in Colwich, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Francis J. Seiwert and he preceded her in death December 22, 2010. After only one day of marriage the couple moved from Colwich to the family farm north of Fredonia.She worked on the family farm, a homemaker and raised four children.Catherine was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She never said an unkind word about anyone. Catherine began to lose her eyesight when she was younger, but that didn't curtail her from playing music. She played the guitar, harmonica and piano.She loved to garden, plant flowers, bowl and cracking pecans.Catherine was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Charter Member of the Pickers and Fiddlers, National Grange. She was also a 4-H Leader, member of the Fredonia Bowling League with the team name of Gutter Dusters.She is survived by her four children - Judy Puckett and her husband Raymond, Joyce Garner and her husband Darrell, JoAnn Jones and her husband Bill, John Seiwert and his wife Julie all of Fredonia, Kansas, brother, Roman Mannebach and his wife Rosie of Colwich, Kansas, sisters in law, Annacleta Mannebach of Colwich, Kansas, Vera Mannebach of Palm Springs, California, 14 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Hayes Puckett, two great grandsons, Dedrik Rodriguez and Aaron Garner, two brothers, Melvin and Bud Mannebach and a sister, Theresa Deeds.The family will receive friends Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, KansasReciting of the Rosary at the Sacred Heart Catholic will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 20, 2017 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Daniel L.
