Carolyn Sue Stewart

Carolyn S. Stewart, 76, of Nixa, Missouri formerly of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Carolyn Sue Stewart was born December 30, 1941 in rural Fredonia, Kansas the daughter of George R. Stewart and Vesta Hazel (Henderson) Stewart. She grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1959.
She was united in marriage to Joe Sadeghi in Pittsburg, Kansas and they were later divorced.
Carolyn enjoyed growing flowers and loved to read. She will be remembered as an amazing teacher and saw the good in everyone.
She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in Shakespeare. She later would attend Emporia State University and received her Master’s Degree and Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S).
Carolyn worked as a teacher for the USD #484 Fredonia School District for many years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia, Kansas.
Survivors include her daughters, Aryanna Stewart of Nixa, Missouri, Sabrina Stewart of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, siblings, Ann Stewart of Kansas City, Kansas, George Stewart of Fredonia, Kansas, Mary Stewart of Fredonia, Kansas, Harry Stewart of Fredonia, Kansas and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Vesta.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas with Gene Benefiel, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be held in Fredonia City Cemetery.
