Carolyn Sue Reinhart, 82, former resident of Fredonia, passed away, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at her home in Andover, Kansas.
Carolyn was born on October 7, 1938, to Harold Luther and Georgia (Hopkins) Maness in Parsons, Kansas. She attended and graduated from Neodesha High School in 1956.
She went to Kansas City for Key Punch Operator training and worked as a Key Punch Operator for Beechcraft.
Carolyn married Merle Reinhart on May 23, 1958 in Fredonia, Kansas. He survives at the home. To this union were born, Duane Reinhart and Chris Reinhart.
The couple made their home in Fredonia, Bell Aire and have resided in Andover since 2015. In addition to being a housewife and homemaker, Carolyn helped Merle at Reinhart Construction and served as the Fredonia First United Methodist Church secretary.
Carolyn was very talented. She enjoyed playing the violin, sewing, doing needle point, crocheting and cross stitching. She was a wonderful hostess and great cook. Her number one enjoyment in life was her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Merle, Carolyn is survived by her sons, Duane Reinhart, Columbia, Maryland and Chris Reinhart (Elizabeth), Andover, Kansas, brother, Clifford Maness (Jeanie) Maumelle, Arkansas and sister, Haroldine Carver (Norman) Rogersville, Missouri and her three grandchildren, Christopher, Megan and Nicholas.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, sister- in- law, Linda JoLene Smith, brother- in -law, Jim and nephew, Karl.
Graveside services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Fredonia Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Phoenix Hospice and Fredonia First United Methodist Church. They can be mailed or left at Wickham Family Funeral Home 510 N. 7th Fredonia, Kansas 66736.
