Carolyn (Patterson) Heptig

Carolyn Sue (Patterson) Heptig, 71, a resident of Iola, formerly of Fredonia and Chanute, died Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Allen County Hospital in Iola. She was born December 17, 1939 in Chanute, the daughter of Kenneth A. and Leta (Sinclair) Patterson. She was a homemaker and attended the Sacred Heart Church in Fredonia. On January 13, 1983 in Fredonia, she married Fred G. Heptig. He preceded her in death July 29, 2004. Her survivors include: One brother: Oren Patterson of Chanute, KS Two sisters: Deanna Barnhart of Chanute, KS Barbara Clovis of Topeka, KS Several nieces and nephews Her parents, Kenneth and Leta Patterson, and one brother, Kenneth "Cookie" Patterson preceded her in death. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Timmons Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating.
