Carol L. Cessna

Carol L. Cessna, 70, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Carol Lynn Cessna was born February 28, 1947 in Benedict, Kansas the daughter of David Edward Culbertson and Eloise (Prunty) Culbertson. She attended Benedict and Fredonia, Kansas schools and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1965. She graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree.

On September 16, 1967 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Thomas Rice and they were later divorced. She was later united in marriage February 14, 1979 in Independence, Kansas to Justin Dale Cessna and they were later divorced.

Carol worked for ACME Foundry for many years.

She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, cooking and most of all family time.

Survivors include daughter Melissa Reyes of Coffeyville, siblings, Janis Ann Colin of Mound City, Kansas, Donna Kay Foster of Independence, Kansas, Ellen Mason of Independence, Kansas, Max Culbertson of Princeton, Iowa, Mitch Culbertson of Fall River, Kansas, 3 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David E. Culbertson Jr, niece, Leanne Foster, Tom Rice and Justin Dale Cessna
