Carol A. Miller, 81, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at Lakepoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Augusta, Kansas.
Carol Alene Miller was born October 4, 1935 in Fredonia, Kansas the daughter of Frank Palmer and Barbara (Atwell) Palmer. She grew up in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1953.
On May 16, 1954, she was united in marriage to Harrison Ralph Matlock and he preceded her in death March 23, 1958.
She was later united in marriage to James R. Miller and he preceded her in death July 1, 1991.
Carol worked at TG&Y and later retired from Alco after many years.
She loved to play bingo, read and watch Price Is Right on television. She will be remembered for her gentle soul and never said a harsh word about anyone.
Survivors include children, Zachery Miller of Altoona, Kansas, Elray Matlock of Augusta, Kansas, sister, Billie D. Kidd of Fredonia, Kansas, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by infant son, Aaron Lloyd Miller and 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Wickham Family Funeral Home of Fredonia. Graveside Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Fredonia City Cemetery.
