Carl "Bob" R. Haynes

Carl R. “Bob” Haynes, 67, of Nixa, Missouri formerly of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his residence.
Carl Robert Haynes was born January 30, 1952 in Independence, Kansas the son of Carl R. Haynes Sr. and Thelma (Birdsong) Haynes. He grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1970.
On August 6, 1971 in Cherryvale, Kansas he was united in marriage to Brenda Wright and she survives at the home.
Bob worked as a welder for MEC and Haliburton in his younger years. Later he worked as a truck driver. He retired from Coffeyville Community College in 2013 after many years as a welding instructor.
He enjoyed Harley Davidson and Indian motorcycles. He also liked drag racing. He never met a stranger and loved being around his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, son, Cody Haynes and wife Tara of Nixa, Missouri, sister, Kathy Wagoner of Cherryvale, Kansas, 3 grandchildren, Haleigh, Colton and Ainsley Haynes of Nixa Missouri.

Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale. The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
