Candace G. "Candy" Combs

CANDACE "CANDY" G. COMBSCandace "Candy" G. Combs, 65, of Fall River, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.Candy was born December 15, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Raleigh E. Dickey and Nita (Ward) Dickey. She grew up in Wichita and graduated from Wichita South High School in 1969.On April 26, 1971 in Wichita she was united in marriage to Clyde W. "Bill" Combs and he survives at the home.Candy worked for St. Joseph Hospital in the laboratory. She later worked at DB Grocery in Fall River for many years until ill health forced her to retire.She loved to garden, taking care of her house plants and antiques. She will be remembered for her love for her family and friends. Candy enjoyed holidays especially Easter and taking part in Fall River Days.Survivors include her husband of the home, children, Sarah E. Combs of Wichita, Kansas, Shawna Allen of Wichita, Kansas, grandchildren, Miah Combs and Madisyn Burt.Cremation has taken place with the family receiving friends from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Wickham Family Funeral, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas.
