Bobby Dean Campbell

Bobby Dean Campbell, 79, died at his home on Monday, November 15, 2010. He was born December 31, 1930 at Park Hill, Oklahoma to Dan V. and Fannie (Stephens) Campbell. Bobby served in the U.S. Army for six years. After coming to Kansas in 1958, he worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad, Frisco Railroad, and Kansas Department of Transportation. He also served as a special deputy in drug investigation. Bobby was married to Lizzie Buzzard in the early 1950"s and they later divorced. On September 27, 1958 at Neodesha, he married Katherine Lucille Chisham. They made their home in Cowley County for over 20 years and then returned to Neodesha. He had been disabled for an extended amount of time. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia and an active member of NEAT (Neodesha Environmental Awareness Team). He is survived by his wife, Katherine Lucille (Chisham) Campbell of Neodesha; three sons, Robert Dan Campbell of Fredonia, William Dale Campbell of Arkansas City, and Tommy Dean Campbell of Winfield; two daughters, Earlene Williams of Tahlequah, OK, and Janice Sorrell of Arkansas City; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Augretta Campbell of Tahlequah, OK. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters, four brothers, and an infant daughter, Augretta Naomi Campbell on February 22, 1964 at Neodesha. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia with Pastors Jeremiah Baird and William Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Ross Cemetery with military rites conducted by the soldiers from Fort Riley. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 2:00-7:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends 6:00-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established Bobby"s name with the Baby Gretta Fund at Wilson County Hospital Foundation and the Children"s Ministry at the Bible Baptist Church in Fredonia and contributions can be sent to the funeral home.
