BILLY JOE SPOONBilly Joe Spoon, 84, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville.Cremation has taken place with private family services held at a later date.Billy Joe Spoon was born September 23, 1931in Cushing, Oklahoma the son of Walter Ray Spoon and Thelma Elizabeth (Lewis) Spoon. He grew up and attended schools in Stockton, California.On January 30, 1951 in Stockton, California he was united in marriage to Ramona Ann Davis and she survives at the home.Billy Joe worked as an auto mechanic, owner/operator of a wrecker service, owned a Sinclair gas station and was a Payne County Reserve Deputy Sherriff. He loved cars, bowling and talking on the CB radio with his handle being "Grumpy." He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.Survivors include wife of the home, children, Sammy Spoon and wife Irene of San Antonio, Texas, Joyce Buetow and husband Kevin of Coffeyville, Kansas, three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
