Billy Joe Manning

Billy Joe Manning, 80, of Crane, Missouri formerly of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at his home.

Billy Joe Manning was born October 31, 1937 in Fredonia, Kansas the son of William Manning and Alpha Mae (Hardcastle) Manning. He grew up in Fredonia and attended Fredonia, Schools.

On October 5, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas he was united in marriage to Bessie Lee Vesey and she preceded him in death May 14, 2002.

Billy Joe was a self-employed Industrial/Commercial Painter for many years. He moved to Missouri in 1986.

His favorite hobby was to barter and trade for various items in his spare time.

Survivors include children, Darrel Joe Manning and his wife Peggy of Lyndon, Kansas, Steven Lee Manning and his wife Sheila of Bolivar, Missouri, Diane Renee Newman and her husband Steven of Crane, Missouri, brother, Max L. Manning of Topeka, Kansas, sister, Patsy Rice of Navarre, Florida, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Timothy Allen Manning, two brothers, Gerald and Gene, and five sisters, Geneva, Julia, Sybil, Wilma and Katherine.

Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 10, 2017 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 North 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66736.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow services at Fredonia City Cemetery.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to American Cancer Society or Global Missions and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
