Bertha K. Voth, 86, a 70 year resident of the Fredonia, Kansas, area, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born March 30, 1924 in Corn, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry and Helen (Boese) Kroeker. She was a graduate of Elk City High School. On May 26, 1946 in Elk City, she married David H. Voth. She and David owned and operated their farm near Buxton where they and raised their eight children. He preceded her in death June 1, 1999. Bertha was a member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite and taught school during World War II. Bertha"s survivors include: Six sons: Lee Voth (Joan) of Lewisville, TX Frank Voth (Judy) of Independence, KS Richard Voth (Mary) of St. Louis, MO Tom Voth (Sharonlee) of Fredonia, KS Gary Voth of Fredonia, KS Danny Voth (Shelly) of Liberty, KS Two daughters: Diana Walker (Doug) of Osawatomie, KS Cathy Yonkey (Dave) of Shawnee Mission, KS One brother: Robert Kroeker of Junction City, OR Four sisters: Lydia Stelting of Independence, KS Marie Stelting of Corn, OK Vivian Kliewer of Weatherford, OK Martha Allison of Wichita, KS Fifteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Walter Kroeker, Tillie Vogt, John Kroeker, Ann Botchlett, Elwin Kroeker; and twin grandsons, Jack and Paul Voth. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 29, 2010 at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite south of Fredonia. Burial will be in the Emmanuel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Timmons Funeral Home on Friday evening, 6:00-7:30 P.M. Memorials have been established in Bertha"s name with the Mennonite Disaster Fund and the Christian Service International and may be sent to the funeral home.
