Allen Lee Myers

Allen Lee (Bull) Myers, 79, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Allen Lee Myers was born March 19, 1943, at the family farm in rural Cherryvale, Kansas to Lovell Myers and Dorlys (Straub) Myers. He graduated from Labette County High School in Altamont, Kansas in 1961.

He was united in marriage to Karen Morris, and they had two children, Melissa and Tim. They later divorced.

On February 28,1998 in Independence, Kansas he was united in marriage to Diann Yantzie and she survives at the home.

Allen worked on his farm and ranch in rural Cherryvale and was still working at the time of his passing.

He enjoyed going to the casinos around the area and was one of the lucky ones to win. He loved to go out to eat and play pitch with his friends. A characteristic he had that he didn’t want people to know was he had a big heart. He was also a bit on the ornery side when he got to know you.

After his son Tim's death, he developed a special bond with Lew Forman and his family where he considered them part of his own family.

Survivors include his wife Diann of the home, children, John (Christi) Nowak, Renee’ (Shawn) Eidson, brothers, Larry Myers, John Myers, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Melissa Brown, son, Tim Myers, 3 brothers, Gerald Myers, Dale Myers, Paul Myers and sister, Delores Edwards.

Celebration of Allen’s Life will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th Street, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335.

In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children, and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
