Alan Frederick Midcap

Alan Frederick Midcap, 54, of Fredonia, Kansas, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023.

Alan was born on September 29, 1968, in Chanute, Kansas to Charles Fredrick Midcap and Roma Payne Henley. His father passed away when Alan was a year old. Alan graduated from Fredonia High School in 1987. He later attended Neosho County Community College and graduated from Kansas State University in 1994.

After college he was employed with Dynamic located at Fort Riley, Kansas. He also worked at Toronto Lake supervising the inmates at the Honor Camp.

His most recent employment was with the Kansas Department of Wildlife as a Fish and Game Warden for the State of Kansas.

Alan loved to fish and hunt.

Alan is survived by his parents Eddie and Roma Henley of rural Fredonia, Kansas and sisters, Deanna (David) Estes of Rock, Kansas, and Shanda (Brent) Lane, of Ottawa, Kansas.

Cremation has been requested and services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 12, 2023, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas, with Mike Myers officiating. Visitation will be held following the service.
