Adam C. Gill

Adam C. Gill, 41, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at his home with his family by his side.

Adam Curtis Gill was born September 11, 1980, in Coffeyville, Kansas the son of Robert Gill and Susan (Edgerle) Gill. He grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1999. After high school he attended Fort Scott Community College and played football. He also attended Independence Community College.

On May 1, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada he was united in marriage to Misty Verge, and she survives at the home.

Adam worked for Jim Gill Agency/Coffeyville Insurance Associates as a Certified Insurance Counselor for 16 years until ill health required him to retire.

He enjoyed football, fishing, and video games. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals and Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, and Cherryvale Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife Misty of the home, children, Emmalie Ingram of Independence, Kansas, Kortland Verge (Lexi Umbarger) of Cherryvale, Kansas, Menley Gill of Cherryvale, Kansas, mother, Susan Gill of Cherryvale, Kansas, siblings, Chris Yates (Jennifer) of Olathe, Kansas, Dawn Yates (John Rau) of Cherryvale, Kansas, Jake Gill (Brandy) of Cherryvale, Kansas, grandchildren, Asher Ingram, Calvin Lerch, grandmother, Harriett Gill of Neodesha, Kansas and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Gill, grandfather, Jim Gill and grandparents, Gary and Phyllis Edgerle.

Celebration of Adam’s Life will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 16, 2022, at Cherryvale Presbyterian Church, 211 South Montgomery, Cherryvale, Kansas.

The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.

Memorial remembrances are suggested to the Adam Gill Memorial Scholarship, and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
