A. Lois Ferguson, 90, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, formerly of Quincy, Kansas, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia. She was born February 23, 1917 in Earlton, Kansas, the daughter of Charles D. and Lula (Ross) Deal. She was a homemaker. In 1935, she married Alonzo Ferguson. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of the Toronto United Methodist Church and the Toronto Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and sewing. Her Survivors include: Two Sons: Charles Ferguson of Topeka, Kansas Robert Ferguson of Eureka, Kansas One Daughter: Linda Allred of Corsicana, Texas One Brother: Clyde Deal of Cedar Rapids, Iowa Three Sisters: Ila May of Pratt, Kansas Ruth Scarth of Texas Zana Meadows of Fredonia, Kansas Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mary Rockhill; and two brothers, John Deal and Roy Deal. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at the Jackson Cemetery, west of New Albany, Kansas, with Pastor Karen Jesseph of the Toronto United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Wednesday, 2:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M.-10:00 A.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the American Heart Association and may be sent to the funeral home.
