TROY LEE BAILEYTroy L. Bailey, 49, of Cherryvale, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at his home.Troy Lee Bailey was born August 19, 1964 in Independence, Kansas the son of Everett and D. Ann (Humphrey) Bailey. He grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School in 1982.On October 8, 2006 in Independence, Kansas he was united in marriage to Sherry Devore and she survives at the home.Troy worked for NuWa in Chanute, Kansas for many years and has worked at Charloma in Cherryvale for the past four years in Quality Control.He loved football and was avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rock Roll music and cold Busch Beer. He did not like Ford vehicles parked in his driveway but liked Nascar Racing with Dale Earnhart his favorite driver. "Troy had a special aspect of helping people and loved his mother and family.Survivors include his wife Sherry of the home, mother, D. Ann Bailey of Cherryvale, sister, Kimberly Holt of Clearwater, Kansas, daughter, Mariah Bailey of Independence, Kansas, step son, Darrin Kebert of Independence, Kansas, step daughter, Jessica Kebert of Independence, Kansas, three step grandchildren, Jaden Swafford, Justin Swafford, Jasmyn "JuJu" Kebert, two nieces Ann Marie Larson of Springhill, Kansas, Alexis Chard of Wichita, Kansas, nephew, Levi LeRoy of Wichita, Kansas, aunt, Jeanne Housel of Cherryvale, Kansas, five great nieces and nephews and his Chihuahua dog, Joey.He was preceded in death by his father and cousin Shannon Gragg.Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas 67335 with Rusty Hammer, officiating.Friends may sign the register book from 12 Noon until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.Private family interment will held in Fairview Cemetery, Cherryvale, KansasMemorial remembrances are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
