Juanita "Jonnie" Fadely

March 12, 1925 — April 2, 2023

Juanita "Jonnie" Fadely, 98, of Fredonia peacefully left us on April 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving daughter Becky Bauman and the caring ladies of Morningstar Care Home.

Graveside services will be held on Monday April 10, 2023 at Fredonia Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. A golf cart procession will start at 1:00 P.M. from Wickham Funeral Home continuing around the courthouse square and proceeding to the Cemetery.

Juanita was born on March 12, 1925, in Fredonia to Opal and Boyd Conard.

She attended local Fredonia schools as well as Mile High Court Reporting School, Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She went on to enjoy many professions including working at ADM in Fredonia and Lincoln, Nebraska; Fink Abstract in Fredonia; Del Webb Retirement community in Arizona; Office Manager for Paul Hoff, Washington, DC Lobbyist; and Personnel Director at Farmer’s Mutual in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She was an extraordinarily accomplished woman enjoying many various roles in her life…an amazing scratch golfer for decades, playing piano by ear, a smart bridge player, a talented artist and seamstress, creating beautiful and comfortable homes for her family and friends. She designed and built many homes in Fredonia and treasured travels over the years …all enjoyed with a beautiful smile on her face and a sense of humor as she was always surrounded by laughter.

She was married to Theo K. Spillman in 1944 and Joseph L. Fadely in 1986, later divorced.

Her most cherished passion were her four children…her pride and joy for all of her life. Besides spoiling her children with love, her devotion to them was unparalleled. She will be forever cherished by her son Rick Spillman (Marta) of Texas, daughters, Becky Bauman (Larry) of Fredonia, Jamie Zirkel (Dennis), Kansas and Sherry Conquest (Ron) of Florida. She will be fondly remembered by her 2 granddaughters, Ashley and Samantha as well as her three great grandchildren, Maxwell Olson, Wade McNamara, and James McNamara.

She was predeceased by her parents, her twin sister, Donita, 4 brothers, Alan, Wayne, Maurice and Leroy Conard, 3 Aunts, and Grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Juanita Fadely Golf Fund for Fredonia High School Girls or Hometown Hospice and Healthcare. Donations may be sent to Wickham funeral Home, Fredonia.
