Jane Riley (Lett) Lose

Jane Riley (Lett) Lose, 91, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, and formerly of Chanute, Kansas, died Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Beverly Health & Rehab in Fredonia. She was born September 1, 1914 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of William Harry and Agnes Mae (Rowan) Riley. She was a graduate of Chanute High School and retired in 1977, after more than 20 years as a bookkeeper from the Bank of Commerce in Chanute. On December 21, 1941 in Chanute, she married Charles I. Lett. He preceded her in death in 1973. On September 12, 1975 in Chanute, she married William Lose. He also preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Chanute and attended the Church of the Ascension in Neodesha. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chanute and Friends of the Fredonia Public Library, as well as serving Meals On Wheels for many years. Her hobbies included crocheting and crossword puzzles. Her Survivors include: One son and daughter-in-lawRobert & Joan LettFredonia, KS One daughter and son-in-law:Nancy & John BaileyEureka Springs, AR Two granddaughters:Kathryn Lett-Deathe and Meagan Lett Two great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Wanda Sey. Graveside services will be held at 1:00P.M. on Monday, September 26, 2005 at the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Kansas, with The Rev. Gerald Eytcheson of the Church of the Ascension in Neodesha officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Sunday, 1:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. and on Monday, 8:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M. Memorials have been established in her name with the Fredonia Senior Citizens and the American Cancer Society and may be sent to the funeral home.
