Agnes I. Cretcher, 89, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society in Parsons, Kansas
Agnes Imagene Cretcher was born September 26, 1929 in Crystal, Kentucky the daughter of Charles Gross and Emma (Rogers) Gross. She grew up in Kentucky and graduated from Lee County High School in 1953.
On May 5, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio she was united in marriage to Lawrence Richard Cretcher and he preceded her in death May 11, 2018.
She worked as a shipping clerk for Vallis in Cherryvale for over 20 years. She later worked as an attendant care provider for Four County Mental Health for many years until she retired.
Agnes enjoyed quilting, sewing and baking wedding cakes. She loved working in her garden and flower beds. She will be remembered for helping other people.
Agnes was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale.
Survivors include her children. Cathy Carnahan and her husband Jerry of Mound Valley, Kansas, Richard Cretcher and his girlfriend Jan Koehn of Cherryvale, Kansas, brothers, Bob Gross and his wife Lee of Farmersville, Ohio, Bunt Gross and his wife Emily of Irvine, Kentucky, sister in law, Ethel Gross of Frankfort, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Caitlyn Carnahan, Nate Carnahan and McClain Cretcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Delbert Gross and Ed Gross.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at First Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale with Pastor David Bennett, officiating.
Interment will follow the services at Harmony Grove Cemetery north and east of Cherryvale.
Memorial remembrances are suggested to the First Southern Baptist Church and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
