RAMONA ROSE WEINDORFERRamona R. Weindorfer, 76, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday morning at her home.Ramona Rose Weindorfer was born July 26, 1939 in El Dorado Springs, Missouri the daughter of Julius McCord and Catherine (Wilkins) McCord. She graduated from Osawatomie, Kansas High School in 1957.On June 7, 1969 in Las Cruces, New Mexico she was united in marriage to Michael Weindorfer and he survives at the home.Some of her favorite hobbies were quilting, coloring, painting and crafting. She will be remembered as a lady who knew no strangers.She worked as a Certified Nurse Aid (CNA), Certified Medication Aid (CMA), Restorative Aid and Social Services Director. Throughout her career she was employed at Colonial Lodge in Independence, Cherryvale Care Center and Caney Nursing Home.Ramona resided in Las Cruses, New Mexico until 1973 and lived in Independence until 1986 and has been a resident of Cherryvale since.Survivors include husband of the home, daughter, Angela Musgrove and her husband Frank of Independence, sons, Richard Timmins of Cherryvale, Steven Weindorfer and his wife Misty of Amber, Oklahoma, brother Richard McCord of Neodesha, Kansas, sisters, Christine Knight of Cherryvale, Beth Bourgeois and Rebecca Brading of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandchildren, Ashley Goins, Brian Timmins, Tasha Timmins, Richie Timmins, August Weindorfer, great grandchildren, Gracyn Goins, and Olivia Rose Timmins.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Melchert and sister Debra Medlock.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Chad Arnold, celebrant.The Rosary will be recited 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the church.Friends may sign the register book from 12Noon until 4:00 P.M. Thursday at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas.Interment will be held in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
