CARL E. HAWKCarl E. Hawk, 73, of Elk City, Kansas passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Medical Lodges of Independence.Carl E. Hawk was born July 28, 1941 in Neodesha, Kansas the son of Homer Hawk and Virginia (Certain) Hawk.He grew up and lived most of his life in the Elk City area and attended schools in Elk City. Carl worked at various places in the area and his favorite hobbies were hunting and gardening.Survivors include 3 brothers, Mike and Richard Hawk of Independence, KS, Charles Hawk of Longton, KS, 5 sisters, Rhonda Selman and Donna Bright of Independence, KS, Lola Ohmes of El Dorado, KS, Beverly Davis of Stratford, Texas, and Vickie Ray of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.He was preceded in death by his parents.Family and friends are asked to meet at Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City, KS to Celebrate the Life of Carl E. Hawk 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 31, 2014. Arrangements have been entrusted with Wickham Family Funeral Home of Cherryvale.
